(compMus2 and musTh1) PSA – Register to Vote
Posted 2 October 2008 by Keith KothmanSince I brought this up in 111 in the afternoon, but not to my computer music classes, I’m just posting a little info on registering to vote.
The deadline to register to vote in Indiana is October 6th.
You can go online to either campaign web site for information, or if you prefer a non-partisan outlet, you can go directly to Indiana Secretary of State site. You can download registration forms, check absentee ballot info, and even follow links to check your registration status (for those of you with questions about where you’re registered).
All students with a local address can register to vote in Delaware county. If you’re registered at your permanent (parents’) address, you can request an absentee ballot by mail. The deadline for absentee ballots by mail to be received is October 27th.
If you’re registered in another state, you’re on your own. Try searching for “voter registration <yourstate>” and you should find answers rather quickly.
All of you have a stake in the outcome of this election. Register to vote, be informed, and most importantly, vote.
